On the corpse. My question is...
No, my question. I get to go first. Why in pluperfect hell would you pee on corpse?

Seems like a no-brainer to capitalize on the fringe fans....
I think the biggest problem here would be accurate rosters. I do agree a near opening day release with pre-orders during MLB spring training would be the most successful way to garner new customer sales.

A release around Opening Day is always the intent going into things. However, when your company has only handful of resources, life sometimes intervenes. Additionally, it's extremely difficult to get started immediately, because the demands of supporting the application are especially high in the first month to two months after the launch.

We certainly would have liked to get it released sooner this year, but it is what it is at this point!

As we do every year, we'll find a moment where we can sit back and think carefully about what went right, and what went wrong, and how we can proactively improve things next cycle.

And thanks for your patronage everyone!

Steve

You need to outsource to third world countries such as the US.

Dude, Markus said the first week of June not the first seven (7) days of June.......

Therefore, that would be Sunday to Saturday May 31 to June 6.

I would like to see the game released at the conclusion of the world series. Then I would be able to play/watch baseball all year round.

Nope, not the only one. I'm pretty sure Major League Baseball considers it starting on Monday and ending on Sunay too regarding Player of the week, scheduling, etc.

One thing I found REALLY cool:

Improved Injury System - The injury system is a very important aspect of a realistic simulation engine. This year we have improved the model used in OOTP in order to recreate more realistic injury frequencies and durations. Players can also suffer setbacks during their recovery.

+1 for a flexible injury system! Does it work the other way too - where they may come back earlier?

I think it depends where you are. I've always been told that weeks start on a Sunday.

Yeah, me too. And all calendars that I've ever owned start the week on Sunday. I was just pointing out to AirmenSmith that he wasn't the only one that considers it Monday. MLB considers it to start on Monday too.

I have never heard that the MLB starts their week on Monday. A couple of employers I have had did this as well. MLB.com must use the Sunday-Saturday calendar on their website for easy of use for their customers.

Ease of use and the fact that almost all calendars are set up that way, but as you can see, MLB considers the weeks to start on Monday.

Umm...I'm a Navy vet. When I was in the service we considered Sunday to be the start of the week. Also take a look at your calendars.....

Nice...the thread is devolving into a Gregorian calendar vs. definition of "weekend" argument. Whatever passes the time for the next 10 or so days...

May I ask what effect this has on anything?

My outlook calendar starts on Monday, but my wall calendars start on Sunday... yet, Monday is still Monday with Monday routines; Sunday is still Sunday with Sunday routines.

It's more personal preference than anything. In fact, start the week at 10:16 pm on Wednesday night for all anyone cares... as long as you do what you do everyday, you'll be fine.
