Cant Import Stats in OOTP History v5

Everytime i try and import stats, it says its found an error in line 2 of teams.csv. I cant seem to find an error in it. Here's the line: "Yrs,Steal,HitRun,Bunt,Hook,PitArnd,IntBB,
PH,PR,SQ(20),CurStart,RotSize,
CurStartAAA,CurStartAA,CurStartA,"

Any ideas?

I haven't used V5 yet, but in V4, I kept having a similar problem with the players.csv file. It turned out to be invalid data in the Nickname field.

I'm guessing your problem is similar.

I think what you listed above as columns in row 2 are actually at the end of row 1. If you are using notepad, make sure word wrap is turned off.

I dunno, i cant figure it out, never had a problem before. Well, so much keeping a History of it

Well, A) make sure you don't Word Wrap checked. What you quoted is not the second line. The second line is a line of data for one of your teams. The most common problem in the teams files is the use of a double quote in a name. Single quotes are fine, but double quotes screw things up. So, a manager name of James "JD" Dean is a no-no, but James 'JD' Dean would be okay.

Well, I see a couple of problems, first there are 2 numbers, 0.421 & 0.289, that have a space between the decimal and the next digit. Don't know how that could have happened.

Second, there are 6 numbers missing from the end of the line. These 6 numbers are the Wins/Losses for each minor league level.

So, I have 2 questions. First, are you sure you are using version 5 of CommishJoe's Exporter? If so, then, two, are you simulating minor leagues? I haven't run across this before, but maybe the utility doesn't output those 6 numbers if minors are disabled.

i think i got it, i was using the old exporter and v4 of History cause i was using it for OOTP4 before, no wonder it didnt work

I get an error when trying to import again and i cant find any diffferent characters. Here's the line:

There appears to be a space after BARBERTON" and before the comma. Removing this space fixes it. I'm not really sure how this keeps happening to you. I've never had CommishJoe's exporter produce different output like this. Anyway, I'm going to reexamine the way I'm reading the data to make it more robust in the next update. In the meantime, remove that space (in Notepad!) and it should work.

I just ran across this thread and I'm having the same problem in that I can't import stats. I get an error message for line 50 of the players.csv

EDIT: The space between Girard and 6 doesn't exist. For some reason, when I posted, it put a space.

Any idea when you'll update this? This seems like a great utility for stats junkies, if only I could get past this little hiccup.
