Your Favorite current ballplayer

I was just curious who everyone's favorite active ballplayer is. Right now mine is Carlos Zambrano. Not only does this guy have enthusism for the game, but he is absolutely a complete ballplayer. He can pitch for sure, but he also hits effectively. He also works his a$$ off.

Here is another reason why I admire this guy.

He also apologized to Cub fans for being a Sox fan.

Believe It: Carlos Zambrano Is Fan Of White Sox | MOUTHPIECE Blog // A Chicago-Addled Sports Blog

As much as I dislike him when the Sox have to play against him, I admire Zambrano as a ballplayer and a competitor.

Great eye, good pop, good defense, versatile, "hard-nosed"...takes the game seriously

The typical "pain in the ass if he's not on your team" type of ballplayer

Joe Mauer/Johan Santana/Albert Pujols

Pujols. He's the best pure hitter I've ever seen, plus gives a lot of time and money to good causes.

Yeah, Albert is playing at a different level than most any other hitter. I think if he remains healthy he may go down as the very best of all time.

Yu Darvish. I'm having as much fun watching him as I did with Pedro Martinez in 1999.

I guess I'd have to pick Jamie Moyer.

Andre Ethier.

Thank God he's finally starting every day instead of Luis Gonzalez, Juan Pierre, Jason Repko, and Andruw Jones, and also that he's not platooned with Matt Kemp.

Some days it's Koji Uehara. Some days Nick Markakis. Matt Wieters will probably give them both a run in the near future.
