OOTP6.5 draft question

Ok, I have a question that hopefully someone can answer.

I have a league that is setup with a June draft. We are in the pre-season right now and I notice I can select "1st year player draft". Since this is an online league, we are holding the draft presently.

My question is: If I go into the draft screen and complete the 1st round, do the players get assigned to the club immediately or do they wait until June 1 to be assigned to the club?

In case anyone ever comes looking for an answer to this question like I did, here is the answer.

If you start selecting players for the June draft prior to June....they go straight to the ML club. So basically, it turns the June draft into a 'By June' draft.

This is of course assuming that once we begin the season, the draft still continues. (I've seen threads that indicate the June draft with real players happens in the pre-season only....)
