A few of the ammy draft guys are rated as outfielders, but don't have arm ratings, eg Brennan Boesch (I checked him because I play on his high school baseball team
) There are a few more, but I don't know the names.Good Work.

First - these rosters are superb in many, many ways. Much thanks.
Now, the notes: * Two Cub outfielders: Jason Dubois can't play CF in real life and his range in RF looks optimistic. Jorge Piedra's profile is very different in real life (gap hitting, fourth outfielder with plus defense, some speed) then here (more of a power guy). * Another Cub, David Cash (P) was born 7/25/79. * Ramon Castro's salary (FLA, not ATL) should be league minimum. * Alex Fernandez (OF) ... I understand, he's young, but 6-yr FAs shouldn't be 4.5 star prospects. * Okay, Adam Loewen (FA-P) could sign as a DFA, but why is Colin Curtis (FA-OF) in the FA pool? Is he going to pull a Landon Powell? * Dave Maurer (FA-P) is out for the year. as is Matt Dewitt (I think). Though, if you're going to include those guys, the Cubs' Luke Hagerty (P) would have been nice. More likely to come, probably mostly not Cubs. |

-10 degrees?!?
Just something odd I noticed.
I jsut finished the opening day game with the Bucs versus Cincy at Great American Ballpark and the weather was -10 degrees?? If it was this cold in real life, the game never would have been played. Is this an effect of the weather settings for the stadium or what?? "GAME INFO Time: 3:05 Attendance: 41992 (42000) at Great American Ballpark Weather: Partly cloudy (-10 degrees), no wind PLAYER OF THE GAME: Ryan Dempster" |

. I edited his ratings and got him up to par. He is like a 1 star on these rosters. I got him up to 2.5 star and he gradually improved over the span of the season.

Angels prospect C. Kotchman has no talent level for walks...it's just blank.

Matt Herges was released by the Pirates about a week before the season started. You have him on the Pirates AAA team.

hey all,
Needed a break yesterday. I'm making fixes where warranted from what's noted in this thread and some stuff I saw too. For the record, I appreciate the sentiment, but you don't need to apologize for pointing these things out. all i want to do is get the set the best it can be. I will be posting an update tonight or tomorrow morning, a quick one just covering things noted in this thread. one note from a recent one...Kotchman's talent this was odd. With the editor off it showed it as Brilliant. But with the editor on it said just "talent". But it was reading the Brilliant rating, otherwise he wouldn't have had the 5 star rating. GH |

I've been hearing about all of the real draft prospects put into these rosters, and I was wondering how to see who is in the draft without actually going through with the draft. Is there like a draft preview button or something?

I did notice a lot of the draft prospects starting out at 0's in batting average or avoiding hits. I usually try to avoid these guys because they have a hard time getting over the "0" slump so to speak. Does anyone else have this problem?

I think the prospects end up being a very good mix from the tests I ran. Some end up excellent, some ok, some don't make it. Remember, in real minors, guys get drafted and often take 2-3 years to get to AA. There are really 3 or 4 teams below A-ball in real life, not just one. So these guys being in A-ball in the game for two years isn't really off base.

GForce, how many "real" prospects did you create? So we know how many rounds the draft needs to be to get them all. Also, this is a personal preference question, but with all the minor leaguers already on each team plus another 10 or so after the 1st draft, did u find in the tests that it got over-crowded in the minors? Did you do anything to correct this? Lower the next year's # of rounds for example?

I did 100 college and 100 H.S. guys. And 1 extra (Adam Loewen) who may sign with Baltimore before the draft.
I was doing a 7 round draft. I didn't notice overcrowding because with the finances the way they are, the computer teams cut several guys anyway, usually about 7. So you basically just replace them. GH |

7 rounds if the length in real life, correct? I have been using the default 10, I'll lower it to 7.

the real one is much longer, like 60 rounds for teams that want to make that many picks. Obviously such a long draft would make no sense here.
