I am still curious about some of the teams and how they are set up. Example, the first team I looked at was the phillies. The roster set has Raul Ibanez as a firstbaseman. I will manually go in and change his primary position to LF but it is still interesting to why it would be set that way. Also Carlos Ruiz, penciled in as the starting C is not even on the major league squad. Jason Werth primary listed as LF should be RF, Ibanez should be LF, Ruiz C, Stairs should be primary OF not 1b, Michael Taylor and Paulino should be demoted, Bruntlett promoted, Where is Marcus Giles? Second team I looked at was Arizona. First thing I noticed was connor Jackson listed as primary 1b although this year he is penciled in as the starting LF. Chad Tracy, who you show at LF should be primary 1b. Oeltjen, Parra and Zavada should be demoted. Josh Wilson or Augie Ojeda should probably be on the major league squad. Alez Romero needs to be promoted. Just some thoughts, are the teams going to be cleaned up before the next release or will we need to start going through these teams one by one? Thanks again

Nothing can be done about it unfortunately. The computer will play the players wherever they deem fit, so the only solution is to take away positions (Werth in LF) from players where they should play. There's no way to force the computer to play him in RF or to play Ibanez in LF or to promote/demote certain guys. There's nothing I or anyone else can do about this, primary position is just cosmetic.

Long-time lurker here, just wanted to give a huge thank you to Cubby and all others that have contributed to this roster set. One transaction that seems to be missing from the most recent upload is Doug Mientkiewicz signing a minor league contract with the Dodgers. Also, I'm sure you have your eye on the Garciaparra -> OAK and Manny -> LAD deals.
For those interested, I am at Sept 1, 2009 and as a Red Sox fan I am disturbed to report that the Yankees are running away with things at 87-46. Surprises: Pittsburgh 76-55 and Seattle 75-57. As far as VORP: Jon Lester leads all pitchers with a 64.4 and Albert Pujols leads all batters at 71.9 EDIT: I've found a few other missing transactions: Brad Halsey (Retired) -> LAD minor league contract Mitch Harris (Free Agent) -> STL minor league contract Bill White (CHC) -> Free Agent Neal Musser (KC) -> Free Agent Last edited by BruinsFan; 03-04-2009 at 02:59 PM. |

Perhaps I'm late to the party - haven't downloaded the new rosters since 1.4. Are the following two issues, which existed in 1.4, been fixed for 4.0?
1. 2008 standings were incorrect - shows the Braves having won 84 games (I wish). And the total games played for the Braves was 161, making me think the missing game was the opener against the Nats, and that these standings may have just come from a simmed season, as opposed to the real MLB standings. 2. Are there any 2008 fielding stats? These were totally blank for all players in 1.4. Thanks again for a great roster set, Cubby! |

It looks like I accidently put in Florida's W/L for Atlanta as well, the others are correct though I believe. Fielding stats aren't in. Those things won't be correct until the roster set for OOTP10.

CubbyFan,
Do you have any interest in adding a ***, KBO, and CPBL roster set to your project? I have them done, and have tried contacting you a couple of times. Let me know, because it's about time we had one for the OOTP 9 and 10 generation. |

This is true, but I'm also having the most difficult time getting them in-game, without crashes.

You could add them yourself.
A-Rod might need to be put on the Injured List.

Thanks for all your work on the roster updates, I am not that interested in playing anything but MLB and your roster work makes starting a Blue Jays rebuilding project even more exciting!
