Cannot Add Players To 40 Man Roster

I have two players that are both eligible to come off the disabled list. One player I would like to add to the active roster, which is no problem, but the second I would like to send to Triple-A. However, when I try and send him to Triple-A it says he has to be on the 40 man roster since he has a major league contract. Alright, fine. But when I try adding him to the 40 man roster it won't add him and there is no option in the right click menu. Am I missing something? What is going on?

Sounds like you already have 40 men on your 40 man roster and need to clear out a spot or two first. This could involve getting waivers on players first, which will take a few days.

Without more info, I can't be more specific than that.

Yeah, sorry about that. I only have 37 men on the 40 man roster. I should be able to add both.

Click and drop them in the 40 man roster box. It seems there is some bug or something that occasionally requires you to physically move the players from the DL. It happens to me when I try to put a DL player into the minors.

Edit

Duh?? that's what you asked originally. Took this long for the penny to drop.

This error was supposed to be fixed at one time but it is not. The only thing I have found to work is to place them on the active roster then demote them from there to the minors. Of course there are problems with this such as having to demote someone from the active roster to clear a spot for them and the burning of an option year for the demoted player if he has been on the 25 man roster all season. Some kind of problem with the 60 day DL. It is the only workaround I have found.

Yes. Both were on the 60 man roster. I forgot to mention that. I think I will use your work around for now. Both will see significant time on the active roster and the SS just might take over the starting job once again. Hopefully this is fixed in the next version
