Minor League Stats & Sorting/Searching by intangibles and
New to OOTP 9 after a long hiatus from the game, and through the help of the manual and the boards, things went smoothly in my first year of simulation. I'm now wondering about some minutiae:
1) Is it possible to sort rosters or search for players by ratings in leadership, work ethic, intelligence, etc.? Seems particularly relevant for the amateur draft from what I've picked up. 2) From my one season of play and comments on the boards, pitching seems to absolutely dominate the minor league statistics. Do I need to worry about batting prospects flaming out/having their development ******ed by this domination? Any help would be appreciated. |

I can only answer to your first question.
Is this what you are looking for? OOTP Baseball Manual - Views and Filters Look at the customizing view section of the page. There is a check box for the intangibles under the general tab. (show in the picture) Let me know if that is not the option you are looking for. ![]() Regarding your second question, I think it is better if you could clarify your settings, such as your player creation modifier settings. (Default? Edited?)

That's exactly what I'm looking for in terms of views. Not sure how I missed that in the manual or in my explorations. Yikes.
With regard to the prospects question, I'm playing with default settings. |

Can't really say anything with just one season, can we? ![]() When you say batting prospects, you mean YOUR prospects? Or are you more concerned about the whole league situation?

I mean the whole league. I can mentally adjust to the stats being pitching dominant, just want to make sure it's not going to adversely affect my hitters development to the point where I need to be more cautious when promoting hitters than I am when promoting pitchers.

You probably read this? http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...s-project.html I still think you have to keep on playing, at least several more years to pile up the data to be considerable. The game is at leaset good enough to produce enough talent for both pitching/hitting with the default settings. If you test sim the league for like 100 years, you will see rather healthy league average #s, alltime league leaders, season leaders etc. I think OOTP is very good at having a solid outcome of the league number-wise, but have some holes and weak points in details. Probably, the minor league stats thing is one of the week points of this game. Why do not you bring this issue to the General thread and ask for the opinions of the vets? I think this is far from being a newbie topic anyways!
