Wow. I'm glad they axed this "feature"...also happy they didn't have it when I brought it first...may have been a deal-breaker for me.

I liked it too. It didnt take anything away from the game, so what was the harm?

While we're at it, would it be possible to add the feature of having the team we manage to actually give us a paycheck so that we can completely avoid real life?

Well, my current version of OOTP doesn't give me a paycheck, but I've got the whole completely avoiding real life thing mastered.

I wish that the current game had more immersion. Boo to those demanding that fun not get in the way of their number crunching!

I caught VD in version 6.5, so I hope this feature does not come back. Unpleasant memories of a road trip in Saint Louis.

You want kids in the game? Create as many new players as you want! You could have as many Wilt Chamberlain if you wanted. You don't need the girlfriend-wife feature for that...
...besides, did anyone else find that whole facet as difficult as real life? I got turned down everytime I proposed!

Drop down to the Inside The Park section of the OOTP Developments Forum and download the original version. It's not free, but it's about $5. I wish I could tell you about it, BUT IT'S NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE MAC!!!
Ahem, where was I? Anyway, just from reading about it, it sounds like a really cool, neat little game that desperately needs an overhaul/update. The possibilities of integrating it to OotPB are tremendous. The idea is that you're a young player who's just signed his first contract, and you're living the life and trying to perfect your game. During the day you work on your fielding, and at night you pound the Budweiser and try to pick up chicks while tooling around town in your candy apple red Ferarri. I WISH I COULD PLAY!!! Edit: I see that in the small print at the top of each page of this forum there's a link to a free ITP demo, BUT NOT FOR THE MAC!!! Last edited by Curtis; 02-24-2009 at 10:39 PM. |

ha....
Any of you guys ever tried explaining to your real wife how you're dating some girl and thinking of proposing so you can have a kid that grows up to win the Cy Young in your baseball fantasy world? No? Carry on then...
