![]() Strikeout Leaders Edit* Interesting, cuz Eichhorn currently plays Rookie Ball in Arizona Dbacks system (never heard of him before). I guess this guy has a lot to look forward to. Last edited by rabbitzk749; 02-21-2009 at 11:27 PM. |

Is there a way to add more good prospects in the drafts? In the first year I only had 1 pitcher that was ranked higher than 4 star. I'm afraid this ruin my league in the long run.

That 80% seems a bit more realistic, thanks for those results!

Thanks for all the hard work, Cubby. Here are some issues I noticed with the Texas 40-man and some of their players.
Players that should be on: SP John Bannister; SP Thomas Diamond; SP Scott Feldman; SP Tommy Hunter; CL Warner Madrigal; SP Luis Mendoza; MR Dustin Nippert; SP Omar Poveda; MR Josh Rupe; SS Joquin Arias; 3B Travis Metcalf; 2B Jose Vallejo; LF Brandon Boggs; CF Julio Burbon Guys who should be off the 40-man: OF Andruw Jones (signed minor league contract); CF Dustin Majewski; LF Ben Harrison; SS C. Benjamin; SS Omar Vizquel (signed minor league deal); 1B Ian Gac; C Adam Melhuse (signed minor league deal); MR B. Vaughan; MR Y. Maeda; MR Eddie Guardado (signed minor league deal); MR Brendan Donnelly (minor league deal); MR B. Corey; SP E. Ramirez; SP Jason Jennings (minor league deal) With Hurley and Benoit on the 60-DL, my 40-man should be sitting at 37. Link to official Rangers 40-man: 40-Man Roster | texasrangers.com: Team Chris Davis' talent and potential are too low, he should easily be a 4-star or more potential guy. Same for Derek Holland. And German Duran's ability and potential are much too high as he's a 2-star at best. Hope some of this helps and again, thanks for everything you've put into these roster sets. |

Though I haven't finished simming 2009 with Cubby's 3.0, as of Aug 1, 09 the standings look like this NL East - Braves, Mets, Nationals, Marlins, Phillies NL Central - Brewers, Cards, Reds, Pirates, Cubs, Astros NL West - Padres, Dodgers, Giants, Rockies, Dbacks NL Wild card: Dodgers, Mets, Giants, Nationals (all 2 games apart) AL East - Redsox, Blue Jays, Rays, Yankees, Orioles AL Central - Twins, Tigers, Whitesox, Indians, Royals AL West - A's, Mariners, Angels, Rangers AL Wild Card: Jays, Rays, Yankees, Mariners (all 4 games apart) I know there's still 2 months left in the season (i'm a slow simmer) but i found this interesting the way the season played out so far. BTW: Thanks for the hardwork Cubby! |

Cubby,
There are a few superstars that show up when searched but do not appear in FA or on any team. For example: Fontanesi OF Alvarado OF Martinez 3B Not sure if I am missing something, but these (and presumably others) are "hidden" players in the roster set. |

I am starting to think that this is an OOTP bug rather than a roster set issue. I have posted in OOTP9 in the hope that it will get fixed for OOTP10 as it pretty much kills off having coaches on. |

I think you've got it backwards. He's a much better first baseman than third baseman. He'll be the Rangers starting first baseman this season and that's what he played in the minors before coming up. I don't really want to argue about it, I was just letting Cubby know a few issues I noticed with the Rangers.

I'm using this set with my 2009 Indians and loving it so far! One question I have is about the facepack that is with the set. Seems like it's missing a lot of pretty popular players, (Jeter, B.Webb, ect.) Anybody else missing a lot of these photos? Am I able to use other photo files (from Padre site) with this roster file?
Thanks for your help - and thank you again Cubby! |

Are the ratings from retired players can be "reset".
For instance, Curt Schilling has very crappy ratings. Anyway to fix that? Or how would you rate him? Very very nice job by the way. Incredible roster set!

The game essentially ignores defense when doing star ratings. So if you set Adam Dunn's position to SS, I think (this is just a guess) it will rate him 5 stars, regardless of defense. |

Also his stars that I'm looking at are 1 1/2 at 1B current, 2 1/2 which is about right for how stingy the game is with those ratings. I do appreciate the help though with the Rangers org, and I'll see what I can fix there. Also for those of you playing, I would reset the player development modifiers back to 1 all around -- it seems to be the best balance after all. Perhaps .9 at the most for development speed. ![]() ![]() Here ya go. An example of Chris Davis' career. Looks like he rose and fell pretty quickly. Yes 2011 was a great year for the kid. But retired 3 years later. I never changed anything on Cubby's roster set. I simply simmed to 2031 to see what results may happen. Obviously Chris Davis's career could be different if someone actual managed a team he was on. If you would like to see a certain player, let me know Last edited by rabbitzk749; 02-23-2009 at 11:24 PM. |
