Stats for Historical rosters
When starting a new game and loading a historical season, are the ratings and stats based on the year to be simulated or the prior year ie
I load 1964 season, are the players stats rated for 1964 actual results or the prior year? Dale |

It depends on which recalc option you choose: 1-, 3-, or 5-year.
1-year: 1964 only 3-year: 1963-1964-1965 5-year: 1962-1963-1964-1965-1966 You can also choose to double the weight of the imported season. This would increase the weight of the 1964 stats from 1/3 to 1/2 of the total. 3-year: 1963-1964-1964-1965 |

From what I could tell with a little bit of experimenting is that the initial ratings are always created using the 3-year basis. Ratings for subsequent seasons would then be determined based on your preferences for recalc. If I am right about this, then I think it would be good if the game gave us some options for creating the initial ratings. |

If this is true, then it would make no difference the first year whether you chose 1-, 3-, or 5-year recalc. But I know from experience that it DOES make a difference the first year. Try it and you'll see.
