Question Base running decisions during game play

I am new to game and have played only a few games.
Are there manager decisions with regards to advancing on the bases. ie
Single to left, runner on second, decision stop at third or try to score ect..

I'll try out an answer for you.

In the team strategy page for each team, there is a slider for base-running. This modifies a team's tendency to be aggressive or conservative on the bases (there is also a similar slider that you can use for each ballplayer). When set in the middle of the slider, a team should be about as aggressive as an average team IRL (though, my own testing suggests that a notch toward the conservative side of the slider is probably a more close match to real life). That is the only way that a "manager" can influence or change base-running behavior.

Other than that, the game tries to model what real base-runners would do depending on their speed, base-running talent, where the ball is hit to, what type of hit, etc.
