The roster set isn't currently available for download, but Cubby did say he was going to try for a release tonight.

Cubby? Why is Noah Lowry retired from the SF Giants?? I joined a league and I just noticed it. Can you fix his ratings and unretire him. Thanks

There are a lot of players who were retired by accident - there is a list of them earlier in the thread and most of them (including Lowry) were corrected in the last update.

Wanted to get it out tonight but got bogged down a bit. Only have five more teams to finish up tomorrow, it will 100% be up then. Apologies.

Thanks Jay for fielding questions.

I'm currently using the 1.5v rosters. So far no crash, with the new set will there be a way to use some parts of the new release to possibly fix the problem if it comes up? thanks.

This has nothing to do with the set but i was wondering if anyone here knew if because the yankees failed to sign gerrit cole and Jeremy Bleich. Do they hold their rights..like if cole does come out of school he goes right to the yankees?

No. Cole and Bleich will not be eligible for the draft for another three years, and the Yankees retain no rights to them. Draft-and-follow no longer exists, and instead the Yankees will get compensatory picks one pick later than the picks they failed to sign in 2008.

Holy crap, guy, it's on the top of this page.

He's remaking/tweaking it, so it's not available for download right now.

I looked for awhile and I can't find the answer, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Are these usable in OOTP 8? is there a converter? do they work in both? or am I out of luck? Thanks.

Alright, so there's going to be two more uploads before I end our roster journey for 2009

Going to upload one here in about an hour with all of the crashes fixed, and I've fine tuned the ratings for hitters. After that, I'm going to go through and re-do pitchers and release that at a later date. That should wrap things up nicely as we move into OOTP10. Tonights should be pretty comprehensive though, at that point you're just dealing with narrowing down the pitcher ratings a bit. It should be ready for anyone who wants to start playing.

Hey guys,

Not to sound like too much of a newb here, but is it possible to continue a season that crashed earlier with the old rosters with the new updated ones without having to start everything all over from the beginning?

Basically I was using the old roster set and the game crashed right after the world series...is there any way to continue where I left off, the day after the series, using these new rosters that are going to be uploaded soon?

Thats what i've been trying to figure out. Cubby im Sure has the answer. I'm guessing but unless its pinpointed on what the crashes were from then we probably wont be able to continue. I am in a season as well but have not crashed yet so I'm torn on what to do.

Hey Cubby. Like many I really appreciate all the work that goes into this. I was wondering if, when you upload this file, you could provide a little more info on what fine-tuning will be done for the pitchers. Basically, a little something to help some of us decide whether to run with this file, or hold out a little longer. Honestly, I intend to play with this set, but knowing the type of changes that will happen may change my mind. Whether you provide this info or not, thanks for these updated rosters. Very much appreciated and enjoyed.

Going to use the fangraphs info to correctly put in FB speed/pitch types, player numbers for everyone, and map pitcher ratings to PECOTA projections moreso than where they were before.

I don't think it's going to make a monumental difference, but it'll be a bit more accurate.
