Talent only?
I spent 20 minutes looking through the manual and I'm not sure I understand this phrase. I'm considering a talent only online league but I don't want to be "That Guy" if it's not what I'm looking for.
I think it means that OVR ratings are not displayed. Does it typically include the current ratings for contact, gap power etc and stuff, movement and control? I would imagine that it is like the rest of OOTP and depends on 700-3,000 other variables. Little help? |

There are two kinds of player ratings, for the main batting and pitching attributes: for batters, it's Contact-Gap-Power-Eye-Avoid Ks; and for pitchers, it's Stuff-Movement-Control. Every player has both a "talent" score, which is sort of their potential peak rating, and a "current rating" which is where they are currently.
In a "talent-only" league, only the "talent" is shown, and not the "current ratings." |

Beta Baseball is a talent-only league, you might want to check them out. My Jamaica League is talent-only as well (ratings scale 1-5; link in my sig, above).

On this player's page, his Talent is 5/7/6 and his current ratings are 2/2/2. In a "talent-only" league, you would only be able to see the 5/7/6, and the 2/2/2 would be hidden.
