This would greatly enhance fictional leagues.
This would be cool, I'd love to see more personality in managers, it would be cool to see Brian Clough type guys (I know it's a soccer example, but he is legendary)

yeah, if that is a year by year draft history page like all other sims then i agree. Thaat HAS to be in.

Lastly actual owners with different personallity traits would be a nice addition.

Graphical representations of the game along the lines of what Front Office Manager has. And accurate names of minor league affiliates in historical leagues.

I would like to see all of the suggestions below.

erqjaffe

Geographical - the game should be aware of how close two cities are to each other and increase fan interest accordingly.

(This would be my #1. I live in Arkansas, Little Rock (Population 184217) and North Little Rock (Population 59078) are for all purposes are the same city. The only thing dividing them is the river. So any team in Little Rock or North Little Rock should pull from a 243295 population.)

Pineapple

Daisy-Chain Feeder Leagues: I'd like to see high schoolers get fed into the college league rather than forcing all high schoolers to be fed directly to the overall main league.

More Awards!!!! The awards in this game are one of the only things that aren't up to par (or beyond) with other games. Please, Please, add more custom awards -with drop screens.
Make the Hall of Fame for Managers and GMs too.
Lastly keep record of not only managers history, but GMs, hitting coaches, pitching coaches etc etc. I don't know why you don't do that already.

From my understanding, team transaction history is purged when the season turns over. I wish there was a way to archive certain transaction types - trades and FA signings for example. This way I'm able go back and be nostalgic about the moves I made decades ago.

This is possible using the Almanac.

But isn't this available only once you create the Almanac html pages?

In the global options you can set it to save transactions, news and injuries for up to 10 years and it will be accessible without the Almanac. Beyond that you'll need an almanac, yes.

If you're using the Almanac, those pages are created at the end of every year.

It would be nice to see the above at least in regards to leagues when first created by the game. It still puts east coast and west coast cities into the same division, for example.

Geographically correct leagues and divisions for both major and minor leagues is not necessarily that difficult to do. I was working on an idea a few months back on how it could be done in a relatively simple way mostly by just restructuring the way the city data is organized in the cities.txt file. It would allow for leagues to not only have sensible geographic alignments right at creation, but also for selecting appropriate city sizes which would make up that league. It would allow too for sensible and geographically appropriate minor leagues as well.

It seems to me the concept could be modified to allow for things such as rivalries and fan interest in cities located close together...

Lastly, select the series lengths for each playoff round.

Historical note: most of the time the Shaughnessy playoff format matched 1st vs. 4th and 2nd vs. 3rd in the first round, but not all. Some leagues used a 1st vs. 3rd and 2nd vs. 4th matchup for the first round. The Shaughnessy playoff format was very popular in earlier years. In 1950, for example, of the 59 minor leagues which operated that year, 55 of them used the Shaughnessy playoff format.
Thanks LGO.

I didn't know you could do it that way.

I read the manual and couldn't figure it out on my own.

I'm sure most of these have been mentioned:

- OPS+/ERA+
- Hitters: BABIP & ground ball/fly ball/line drive rates tracked
- Inherited Runners Scored % tracked
- Individual pitch ratings

If I think of more, I'll mention them!

I would like the ability to at least be able to choose what team's uniform that you want a player enshrined in when he is inducted into the HOF. Either the AI could select the proper uniform based on the team where the player had the best years or played the longest or you could choose when they are inducted. I hate seeing pictures of players in the HOF with those ugly, hideous blue and white, generic, free agent uniforms...YUK!!

1. Having more options when setting things on automatic - For instance I would love for my staff to handle things such as trades, call ups, financials- but I could give my input if I wanted to veto a trade - like a bill parcells mode - ( an american football manager that has his hands in the day to day) - there could be a screen with a checklist of things that my staff is about to do and I can check things off if I wanted to - maybe a 24 hour time line

2. Continued development into the graphical representation of the game.

thanks

Minor League Contracts with bonuses..... I would do a whole lot to get this.

The fundamental reason id want this is for the ability to recreate a very realistic amatuer FA market. The signing of Latin American kids to realistic deals. This is such a fundamental part of modern day baseball and it used to be the only way to acquire amatuer talent pre-draft days.
