Were they short of relievers or something? I'd have pulled Reed before too much damage got done.

Also if you notice they gave up 18 unearned runs on 5 errors. Last edited by Nasty5037; 01-12-2009 at 08:11 AM. |

i would like to know how a reliever could even throw 147 pitches in 2 innings and not have a dead arm or end up in the hospital=P

I think the fact Tony Gwynn hit 3 home runs is funny, the talent level in the teams is definitely a bit skewed.

Rickey Henderson Tony Gwynn Jimmy Edmonds Mike Piazza Manny Ramirez Carlos Delgado Vince Coleman Pedro Martinez These are just the few that I saw. Who are your pitchers, and how much fun can it be to win 120+ games every year? Last edited by dsvitak; 01-12-2009 at 09:48 AM. |

Not your league, just your team. I could probably edit a better lineup, but it would be hard. Rickey is the finest leadoff hitter in MLB history. Tony Gwynn had a lifetime OPS+ of 132, with several years of OBP's north of .400. Throw in Manny and Jimmy to drive them home, and you should ABSOLUTELY score 1100 runs a year. What are the ratings for your stadium? Las Vegas has some good elevation to it, and the ball should just JUMP out of there. Here is a point for you: Prior to Colorado joining the National League, the stadium with the reputation for the ball flying out of it was "The Launching Pad." Yep, Atlanta. What does Atlanta and Colorado have in common? Elevation. Atlanta is, now, the SECOND highest stadium in elevation in the Major Leagues. |

We should ping Eckstein 4 Prez to look at the game log for the 8th and 9th and check for proper application of the earned run rules.

I would've cut Reed after that performance...

Dola
You should check Rick Reed for some ratings glitch. Something like the ratings rollover problem that has been discussed elsewhere. It's hard to believe that the game would not replace him after 60 or 70 or 80 pitches. The fact that Ryan was available to throw 60 pitches of his own means there was pitching available.
