6.5 league--Great Commish-Active GM's, Long Running
John posted this a little earlier, but I know a lot of people don't want to spend time cruising through a message board trying to find all the rules and whatnot.
The 2031 season just ended. (We started in 2004) There was a minor league re-alignment, with a few teams going from the NL to the AL and vice versa, although that's not too important. There is a point system to promote activity, and this system is a game in itself. You may decide to trade for somewhat of a 'project' player, with the sole purpose of spending points to get his ratings higher. This aspect allows teams that need to rebuild a slightly faster way to do so. Each sim is 10 days, ratings are all 1-100, with anything above 100 shown. This league is the best league I've ever been a part of. The GM's are extremely active, the Commish sims on a very consistent basis (I can't remember the last time we had a missed sim) and most of the guys are easy to get along with. Boston and Houston are available. The Astros have a great farm, and are definitely in rebuilding mode. However, the Red Sox finished 80-82 last season, have a few talented prospects, and could really compete next season in the slightly weaker AL with a few of the right moves. IBA - Login That's the league boards, the league standings and rosters link can be found at the top of the message board. If you join from this thread, just make sure you say the TwinsGM, or Erik, referred you. Thanks, guys. |
