changing rosters

I finally figured out how to start the game. I wasn't "simming" the days until opening day...duh. So far it seems like a great game.

My goal is to simulate real major league seasons. I need to be able to make transactions (trades, demotions) for all teams to have rosters simulated to what they really were. I am in "commissioners mode" and designated as the manager of the Detroit team. How can I control every team --- set basic line-ups, rotations, and make needed transactions?

You should get some pretty helpful replies here eventually. I haven't done any historical leagues myself. But I did want to post a link the manual for you in case you haven't read it. It is a good read.
