help needed to import negro league players

i dont understand how to import negro league players. after searching the forums, i found the spritze / garlon db had 50 negro league players. i downloaded the database, created a folder called "stats - nl" and unzipped the database into that file. i looked in the master.csv from s/g and saw that josh gibson'd id is gibsojo99. tried to import historical, but it didnt work

then i tried again by copying the "stats" folder to a folder called "stats2". dumped the unzipped s/g files into that folder, replacing the original files. no luck.

would anyone know what i am doing wrong. is there a step by step process to do this? thanks for the help.

Make sure you start with the Standard Lahman files and then unzip the mod db into the same folder overwriting the duplicate files.

is the Standard Lahman DB the one included with the game in the "stats" folder?

just downloaded the lahman db into one folder. copied into another. extracted s/g db files into the copied folder of lahman db. tried to import "gibsojo99" for year 1943. tried multiple ways (real stats / neutralized, peak seasons / career) and still cant get him in. i opened up the batting.csv in word, and there are no records for "gibsojo99". is he only listed in the master.csv?

he is in both csv's in the modded db so you must be looking at the standard Lahman batting file which does not include the Gibson feller. It appears you are cross-mixing your db's.

figured it out. the lahman ID is gibsojo99, but spritze/garlon ID is gibsonj99. just picked the wrong guy to import i guess.
