Aging Enquiry for Title Bout 2

Was just wondering, i was reading this thread on how to create a new universe:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...-universe.html

I noticed this extract of the guide mentioning an ' aging screen ' :

Quote:
Now onto aging.

On the aging screen in the options.

We are going to work out how many fights we want our fighters to have. Lets say a good range is 40-100 total fights. So let's break that down to

5-10 at beginning
10-20 at pre-prime
15-40 at prime
5-20 at post
5-10 at end

So if a fighter draws the lowest random # each time he's finish with 40 fights.

Next work your way from the top of the page to the bottom. Check mark the two boxes at the top first automatic aging and always inform.

Then it's important to do this in the right steps click the activate aging for all fighters button first, then the calculate.

it will check mark the auto aging button for each fighter ... the calculate isn't that important because when you move a fighter into your universe and change him to beginner it will set a random # for him anyways.
The thing is i have been on the three tabs in the options screen:

Game Options
Import/Export
Databases

None of these have a aging screen, only thing i have tried is the years offset option or the set all fighters to 'CS ADJ.'

I want to set up a database where fighters age and would appreciate any help you guys could give me, thanks a lot.

Geez it has been so long since I played version two. Do you have the most recent version, I thought this was added in a patch for version 2 and should be in those screens you referenced.

Im from England and haven't got the dads credit card that is required to pay for the newer version, only got a Solo debit card which OOTP in all their wisdom dont accept.

What patch is it that has the update for aging in? would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction, thanks.

Version 2.0.25 or 2.0.27

I believe the aging was added in version 2.0.25 or version 2.0.27. I don't use it because I play with a historical uni and it adds too much randomness, but others like it as it automates the aging for you and saves a bit of paperwork.

Beno, I have TBCB 2.5, so my help to you is limited. But let me describe to you what we have and it will provide a clue as to where to look.

Once you create a universe, we see a lot of tabs at the bottom of our screen (Fighters, Cornermen, Announcers, History and many more). One of those tabs is Options - remember this is Options for this universe, not Options for the game that might have a few different universes you create.

When we click on this Options tab within a universe, we have four tabs on top: Options (of the database, such as how many fights until a fighter gets ranked), Import/Export, Miscellaneous (set CS Adj., Years Offset, etc.), and Aging.

I used to play 2.0 and I THINK I had Aging in there too (I could be wrong but I don't think so, perhaps someone else can confirm?). I suspect it's in the patches described by others.

Good luck to you! One suggestion -- if you can't set up this aging feature, you could do it yourself manually. Set a rule up at which every fighter reaches Pre-Prime at 15 fights, etc. and change them by hand. You could even roll dice to determine when someone changes level, in order to add randomness.

have done just that, set up a historical completely fictional universe from 1900 and have set it so that it asks me for a startup date at every startup of the universe, which i have found out also ages the fighters .
