Terrible Minor League Stats
Has anyone else experienced this...?
I've completed two seasons total and have had only one player hit over .300 in the minors. All my top prospects are hitting extremely poorly (most below .250). They are all in their (I think) proper levels, draft picks in rookie ball, 23 yrolds in AA and AAA, etc. I have loaded my minors with top coaches (I've even got Joe Torre as a hitting coach), and have experienced really terrible performance in general in my minor leagues. My pitchers are fair, but are losing all their games. Probably because the hitters are performing so terribly. Any advice??? |

if you raise the number of AB's on the strategies tab in game setup it will add offense to your minor leagues.
OR you can edit each of the the modifiers as you feel is necessary. Somewhere on the boards is an excellent explanation from RonCo as to why this occurs for all minor leagues. This is just part of the way the game works and you will need to make these adjustments for every year of your game as they all revert to the default settings during the off-season. |

I think I found the post you're talking about. Lot going on in that one. Could you verify for me what I got out of that?
Upping my league AB's in the League Settings for each league will increase my offensive productivity, and I'll need to do that every season. Is there an agreed-upon AB total that people have been using? I'm in modern-day (2008). Thanks! |

Are you sure about the part in bold? Doesn't happen in my leagues (fictional). That I know for sure. Could it be different for historicals? The OP didn't specify what type of league it was.

Bolden thing happens in historical leagues.
Changing the AB totals is easier than changing each modifier. I add 8%-10% to the AAA AB's, 11%-13% to AA, 16%-18% to A, 19%-24% to SA and 21%-31% to rookie ball. Percentages differ depending on all the variables they depend on which is a lot of variables I kid you not. I make a second adjustment in June if things still seem off. |

great, spritze, thanks for the advice. i've been searching for the right values, and it would've taken forever to figure out for each league. much appreciated.
changing the AB definitely does make a difference, no doubt. |

What is the thread with this info? Do you readjust every season?

I have not had to readjust the values after each season. i've unclicked 'adjust modifiers' though, so that may be why.
i've found a good medium in my minor leagues by putting ABs to around 190000 instead of 160000. Changing the ABs really does make a difference in AVG and ERA. |
