Newbie Game Startup Instructions

Has someone written a good instruction set or guide for starting a game of OOTP? I have gone through the manual and understand things fairly well but would like to read a veteran gamer's approach to starting and playing a game (preferrably including minors).

Pardon me, I just want to clarify what in particular it is I am unsure of. Game play in particular is something I don't have difficulty with. The things I particulary wish I had a better grasp of are the settings in the game; eg., injury frequency....does the default setting result in too many injuries? Also, controlling minors is something I wish I understood better.
