Signing coaches
I've been trying to sign some coaches. My problem is
1) I give them the contract they want 2) I get email saying they are happy with it 3) The next day a new crappy offer shows up in the 'pending offers' section... 4) This repeats. How do I sign them?? |

It takes time. I have gone months talking to one coach before he would sign. The fastest way would be to offer him lots more then he is asking but if you don't mind waiting awhile then just keep waiting for the emails, that he has a better offer, and start raising your offers years and money. The only exception I use when offering more then the guy is asking is with a scout. I never wait longer then 3-4 days to sign one.

The fastest way is actually to just go in under "god" mode and assign them to your team.
![]() Short of that, you just gotta be persistent, like you do with free agent signings. |

Thanks. I finally signed a manager and 2 coaches.
BUT, I have an annoying problem. Even though my manager and hitting coach slots are filed, the cpu keeps offering contracts to new guys for those positions. Is this a bug in the game? |

Seems you may have offered multiple guys the same job. Just go to your pending offer area and rescind the offer to the coaches you no longer wish to hire.

who do you have in control of you minors? If you have the computer(Minor league managers) in control of your minors then that is the reason that other offers keep showing up.

Okay this doesnt necesarilly have to do with signing coaches.... but about offers made via lets say FA or trades... here are my questions.
1. When I make a trade offer, when the GM says Give me couple days to think about it... when I first started playing I noticed they always decided no and gave me a list of players..... is there ever a time a team will actually say yes? Or should I just continue doing what I have been doing which is pressing the "Make this work now" tab? 2. When it comes to signing FA's since it takes so long for them to decide signing in the first place and I dont want to risk losing all the good players at the position im in need of I normally offer them close to what they want for example I offer a 10M player like 9.5M... so my question is how much lower can I normally go in offering a contract while still signing the player? If he wants 10M can I go as low as 7M and still maybe sign him? |
