Annoyances with OOTP5.01

Ok here are a few observations, and I'd say bugs as well.

1) No-where in game can I find anywhere to edit the style sheet to alter how the pages get output. This was very nice in OOTP3 and 4 for it to remember.

2) An exported site is now, over 3 times the size (Mb wise), now there is no way that the extra stuff in OOTP5 should have that ammount of impact to the overall size. The main problem s the amount of graphics that are now forced on a user. This causes issues for online leagues as these new pages are severly bloated and as such hammer your bandwidth a lot more, and since this cost you can see the situation.

It would be so much nicer if there was a toggled option to export the site in the style of OOTP4 but with the extra information.

3) Since everyhting in game has been moved over from a nice compact speedy database style, to the HTML the game overall runs a *lot* slower, so much so you can see if visually struggling to update screens and even more so if you are simming. Before you jump in saying it's a PC issue, I doubt it as version 4 runs perfectly, and with a 2.4Ghz processor 120Gb RAID and 1Gb thats version 5 is pushing the resources. I've seen this issue on about 4 different machines as well, al run 4 perfectly and 5 is visually slower.

Running in HTML in game is a huge backwards step in my opinion, but I understand that to convert back is going to be a job or consideration for version 6 rather than a patch for 5 since that is a huge undertaking.

Agree, I don't think it was good move either. It would have been nice having it just for the Almanac within the game, but all in all I think the HTML cheapens the layout, makes some things be less friendly compared to V4 and don't really add anything. I would have liked for the game to use just hyperlinks and forget about the HTML.

What do you mean the amount of graphics?

That in the exported files that you create for an uploaded site the graphic intensity is now a huge consideration. That is what is bloating the site to over 3 times a version 4 export of the sites files.

By graphics do you mean player pics and team logos? Or are you referring to the actual HTML player pages themselves?

The actual HTML pages are *way* too large compared to version 4 and hence would cause a massive increase in bandwidth a site uses.
