Have the schedule generator be able to generate a non-balanced schedule.

i want to be able to edit the league history in the game. i dont know how many times all my effort and work to make a league has been ruined 5-10 seasons in because i accidentally imported a player in and his career stats were added to the (history) leaderboards even though he has not played a single game.

2) Have baserunning control. Have prompt for taking extra base or tagging up. Show pertinent ratings to make decision, including where the fielder is, their arm rating, the runners speed, etc. If all people don't like this feature perhaps make it an option that can be turned off.

4) A realistic bullpen. Have pitchers tire when left in the bullpen and when they are constanly warmed up and sat down.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Has there been an announced reason that we can't enter stats to get ratings? I've never got an answer when I've asked about it.

It doesn't have to be perfect...just make it the same as importing from Lahman DB.

Someone in an earlier version was saying that somehow it's easier and/or better for roster makers the way it is now. The logic of that is not something I've seen a reasonable explanation for however. Markus has been pretty tight about not even considering going back the the way it was, entering stats to come up with ratings. He never said why he went to this method.

I believe that these were included in OOTP 5 or 6 or whatever version I was playing before upgrading to 9.

You also had the choice, as game manager, to argue with the ump and possibliy getting the old heave ho. I would like that reinstated.

I think the reason is probably down to league totals and the like. With Lahman these can be calculated.

A hitter who hits 0.290 in a 0.250 league is going to have a higher contact rating than one who hits 0.290 in a 0.320 league despite having the same stats.

Not according to the error message I got when I was trying to set up my new online league. It will only do a balanced schedule (20 team, 4 divisions of 5). I used a custom schedule, but I wanted to just go with the game based version.

This seemed rather pointless. The only action that could result was ejection and I sure didn't want the AI taking over my team for the game, so I never used the option and I reckon most people didn't.

I still don't see how inputting the stats would be different than juggling the ratings to get the stats. Either way, the stats line would have the same stats.

This has never been a problem with any other baseball game I have had in the past. None of them did this backwards.

I disagree. It gave a more realistic impression of being a manager. Sometimes you get tossed sometimes you don't. If you don't want to get tossed, you stay in the dugout.

Thinking about ejections, I think that player ejections have also been decreased.

In my 3 seasons with ootp9, I have only had one player ejected. Which by the way, crashed my game since he was the DH and I was unable to place another player in the DH slot but that is another issue.

True, but it seems not many people used it and there certainly hasn't been a big outcry to bring it back. I'd much rather see a popup asking me if I want a runner to advance.

I would like to see the majority of the time used to improve all of the existing features like managerial AI,General Manager AI,and Play by play.I also would like to see real managers and coaches used in the game, with all of their particular strategies and quirks.

How about an option for minor league strategy (when I let the minor league managers make the decisions). For example:
a) Play to win (choose the best players and ignore development)
b) Develop players (forget about winning and give best prospects play time).

A slider would be better.

A game breaker if not included

Rather than simply go, "Yeah, what he said," I'd like to request something in version 10 that will determine whether or not I buy it.

In version 6.5, there was a check box on each team's menu that showed whether that team was controlled by a human or by the computer. And, yes, I know it still possible to control more than one team, but the process is so cumbersome that I don't bother.

I'd like to see this feature returned to the way it was.
