Did the Binks magically show up and pretend they were the Corn Jabbers? They should be tired out for the finals. I think a few of my dubious records were broken, so there is a silver lining in every black cloud!

Based on at least one common opponent, my Binks, Hebron would rule, but Matt's team steadily improved throughout the season after whupping us in Week 1!

Best of luck to both teams!

Well,Hebron won the matchup during the regular season but it was a good one 51-46.5. Hebron is definitely an intimidating group but the Beavers have improved since that first matchup..should be interesting. Good luck to both guys and congrats on making the finals.

Hebron won by 4.5 points but Joe Symonds is unlikely to get 6 points again. This could be a razor-thin match.

Actually Mike, I thought it was a light rain from eastern Canada disguised as a Tornado, but I guess that can happen to anyone from time to time.

Actually, Symonds scored 7 points in the first match against the Beavers.

He KO'd Midget Wolgast in 12 and KO'd Vic Darchinyan in 3.

Not taking any bets on a repeat performance, Chris?

If Symonds can break even, Nunn will be the difference maker for Hebron this go-round.

Bring it on Matt!

Just like a few of the previous matches, this one also had quite a few surprises. After playing things cautious in the Gold Conference championship match where the Beavers were content to take the fights to the cards (with only 4 KO victories), they opened it up against the heavily favored Haymakers and ended up with 13 KO's.

As for the Haymakers, a few of the over-achievers on their squad fell back to earth in the final match. Maybe the boys from the little town of Hebron were a little shell-shocked with all of the bright lights in the City That Never Sleeps.

==================================================

I will post the Draft Order tomorrow, as well as start running the EOY tournaments.

Congratulations Matt!

In fact, congratulations to the both of you. No question that the final was between the two most deserving teams.

Congrats to Chris for putting together such a powerful squad.

And thanks to those of you sending bouquets the Beavers' way. I would respectfully disagree with Tommy's assessment that the Beavers were most deserving, as I would say that Stockholm and the Unstable were at least equally worthy to carry the Gold standard, if not more so.

I don't know how they managed to pull it out, but I'm proud of my boys. Rollo really turned out to be a difference maker for me. And several guys finally stepped up during the playoffs. Celestino Caballero (ironically, a fighter who Hebron ceded to the Beavers in return for a draft pick) came up especially big at season's end.

On the flip side, Big Ike has been a train wreck. I don't know what to make of his performance this season.

Most importantly, thanks Dave for picking up the mantle and doing a great job of getting the UTBA kickstarted again, and in fine form.

See you guys next season!

Ooops. Yes congratulations to Chris also, as the majority of my squad are still recovering form the beatings we took at the hands of your team during the season.
