A-Rod has much more talent than Jeter, but I respect Jeter MUCH more. I couldn't agree with you more.

Rumors have it that Mattingly and Torre may show up at the game tomorrow night. I'm not quite sure how Torre can make it managing the Dodgers in the thick of a pennant race, but Mattingly should be there...

I would be surprised if either one of them came, considering LAD has a home game today. Maybe a taped message from Joe, though. What seems to be a lock is Bernie Williams showing up for the first time since he left the team.

I hope the Yankees win tonight. It would be sad to see them lose their last match at the old stadium and also it would appear, at the moment, that it would lock in the 4 AL playoff teams.

I can't even talk about the stadium today. I keep getting choked up... Am I pathetic?

I hope A-Rod hits 4 and Jeter takes the collar tonight.

ESPN's coverage
Nice job by ESPN tonight overall. I like how they brought the old timers up for interviews. Michael Kay calling the 8th was nice.
And thank god Miller and Morgan just shut up as the camera's followed Mo out of the Pen. that was awesome.

I spent the whole day on the couch watching the coverage on ESPN and loved it. I'm only sorry that Mattingly couldn't be there. But either way, it was very classy and I was moved before and after the game. Jeter's awesome!!

What a great ending for the great stadium...
I will certainly miss this place. I have only been there once in early 90's, but I still remember the feeling. Maybe I should dispise the place just as many other red sox fans, but I have too much respect for the game, and the respect for the history of this great franchise. Like somebody said, it is kind of sad to see most of the older stadiums gone. I hope the new Yankee Stadium will be as intimidating to the other clubs as possible, just like the old one was to us.

A great night, almost perfect. Great speech by Jeter and couldn't of written a better way to end it.
I can't help but be slightly bothered by the lack of <---------
