Gauging Interest: Modern or Fictional

Just looking to see what type of online league everyone is intrested in. I am trying to debate to start a league in 1993 and work to present day and import a college/high school template once 2007 hits since the game will import real players till 2007. League structure would be...

MLB
AAA (1 team per MLB Team)
AA (1 team per MLB Team)
A (1 team per MLB Team)
RL (1 team per MLB Team)
College Feeder (might start in 1993 just to build history but wouldnt use till 2007)
High School Feeder (might start in 1993 just to build history but wouldnt use till 2007)

or

I was think about a real 2008 league which I still havent found a league structure that I want to use. Im looking for (MLB, AAA, AA, A, RL, College Feeder, and high School Feeder) If you know of anything like this please let me know.

Any people intrested in either type of league?

I'd for sure be interested. I have been trying to find a league with real major leaguers, i think either would be an awesome choice. If you went with the 1993 you could all the expansions and finally have a WS winner instead of the strike. Sign me up if you decide to go with this! I'd love to take a shot with Seattle or St.Louis Kays28@hotmail.com

I'd join a 93 league. Sign me up as well. I'd love to try the Montreal Expos out, at this time in baseball history.

just giving an update. I created the 1993 league file with AAA, AA, A, and R Leagues. The only thing is they made all minor league teams fictional. So I am going through and re-naming them, along with normal size ballpark, weathers and color to match logo. I have done the entire triple A. I will keep everyone informed and anyone else interested keep leaving messages as I will make updates and eventually we will pick teams. Also was wondering if anyone knew of an NCAA league template that I can upload. I want it for once we do make it to the 2007 season.

Also the Montreal Expos have all the Washington nationals logo. Also this league will have expansion drafts when needed. This league only has about 30 to 35 players per team as I dont want any fake players. So we will have import draft pools with real players. Have a good night.

I would love to play with the Pirates if they aren't taken. Are they available? You still deciding whether to go 2008 or 1993? Thanks. Peace.

I might be interested in this league, however, I must warn all that I have never competed in an online league, in fact I have only been a OOTPer since around July with my purchase of OOTP 09.

Would someone be so kind as to indicate what is necessary to compete in an online league. If I have an idea as to what goes into it, I can then committ with a clear conscience. I would even be willing to take the Royals team in your league. (I am sure there is no waiting list).

I have been a longtime fan of baseball sims and been involved with several fantasy leagues, therefore, hoping to be knowledgeable enough to pull this off.

I will look for any answers either here or my email is judd64735@yahoo.com

"What is necessary" is knowledge of baseball, an online connection, a copy of the OOTP9 game (generally; some leagues let owners manage teams without having the game), and about an hour of time, three days a week; plus love for the game.

That time investment is about an average amount. You can spend less if you're in a hurry, and you can spend a heck of a lot more if you "live it" like some of us do.

I would love to be in a historical 1993 game. I would love to take the mets, but I did notice that someone else said they would like to play them. If I can't have the Mets I will take San Diego.

I would be interested in a 93 league if the Braves are still available.

Thanks.
