Hey guys,
there will be a couple of new features in the upcoming patch: - Ability to set the starting pitcher in the 7 day lineups - In the player strategy screen added the ability to force a player to start at a certain position in the depth charts. This is useful when you want to teach a player a new position in the minor leagues for example. - Ability to edit the number of rounds in the inaugural draft I am also looking to improve the PbP, but can't say yet what exactly will be improved in that area. ![]() Cheers, Markus |

One question.
For the new part with the player strategy, will this be able to be used with pitchers. Can I now make my starting pitcher stay in the rotation and make it so my relievers stay in the bullpen. Or is this option mostly for defenders? |

I'm not sure what you mean, the pitching staff screen is for assigning pitching roles. This feature works only for position players.

Its early sorry for the confusing question. I thought it was confusing to
. Specifically I was wondering if I can go into a player strategy for pitcher and use the new force start thing to put them in the closer role. You said it only works for position players so I figure the answer is no but that is what I was trying to say. Also do you know when there will be a suggestion forum for OOTP 10 |

I know that this may not be on top of your priority list and I can understand why but....can you patch the black circle logo bug? Pretty please? ![]() Its the bug that generates black circle logos for "ghost" teams. It's annoying for the most part and takes up valuable space on the hard drive. Thanks again!

![]() I can't tell you how many times I look at my rookie roster after the draft and find that I have 6 catchers and 2 other infielders and can hardly do anything about. This will help to limit how often I have to use the "commissioner" role in order to address this situation.

![]() The only thing I would ask is that you look at the pitchers to see if there is some way to prevent a pitcher who is not in the rotation or the bullpen from pitching, so you can rest him for the playoffs. If the AI can be smart enough to do that, there's no need for a "lock" type feature on pitchers. Otherwise, there is.

I don't think it was. I created a few leagues with 9.1.6 and kept seeing it occur.

No it was not unfortunately. It was listed as fixed however, I was informed in tech support that it was listed as fixed in error and would not be patched. Hoping Markus can squash this annoying bug one day.

I'm assuming you mean when the AI is set to run the team, because if a human manager is setting the lineup, then the AI doesn't change them. At least not that I've ever seen...
If the new feature allows you to lock in your starters in the depth chart, then why would you need to also lock in the lineup? I wouldn't thinkg the batting order would matter that much.

Sometimes when a starter or two sits on their scheduled day off (via depth chart), the AI will mess with the lineup making it nothing like you'd ever want to, IE your lead-footed catcher hitting leadoff, which happens to me often.

I hate to be Mr. Negativity and these couple new features are welcome, but I thought there was going to be an update with some big new stuff in it.
