Wow, Sanders did good. To be honest I thought that Langford and Schmelling would be to tough for him.

Good work with the all-star thingy Romy.

Thanks Romy, and once again the team that I am supporting goes down in flames. Oh well.

I was shocked by how good Sanders did. I was surprised at how well he held up in the later rounds against both guys, pretty much sweeping them against Max. I thought for sure he would do OK in the early portions of the fight before wearing down and getting hammer but that isn't what happen at all.

No problems, I was happy to do it. It was fun to do there were some really great fights to watch, I just got to remember to start it at an earlier time next go around.

The program that I used to upload files to Umk's site seems to have expired so I've attached the bout logs to this post.

* Sorry LL, your boy was in second place the whole way until the final three voters who all went with Cocoa

Well, would have liked to see Stracey in there but cant complain with Cocoa..he did his job to perfection. Well, does make me feel a little better with my conference winning the All-star battle. As for re-starting the UTBA II,I agree with Mike. I think we have waited long enough and I dont think Sal would mind it at all and would probably ask why we waited so long. I think Sal is a great guy and has done so much for the UTBA and these boards in general. However,I do think we put the backup plan in place for this and Sal had agreed to it..so we should proceed I think. More importantly,I am starting to worry about Sal. I know these things have happened on a semi-regular basis and his job is the cause many times, however,it is really starting to worry me. I hope everything is OK with Sal. Whatever you guys decide is fine by me but I vote to proceed. Peace.

Mike, if you had offered me fried chicken while my team was in Baltimore I probably never would have left.

Nice work on the all star match ups Rom. The Dusk Owl reps didn't fare too well, but at least RJJ did his job.
Congrats to all the winners.

Well the Bald Beavers may be experiencing a ho-hum season, but they were well represented in the Gold's unlikely victory:

George LaBlanche W KO11 Tiger Flowers (even the great Mickey Walker had trouble with Flowers).

George LaBlanche W KO6 Michael Nunn

Vic Darchinyan W TKO8 Humberto Gonzales (Darchinyan eclipsed even the great Gushiken vs. Gonzales)

Vic Darchinyan W KO2 Joe Symonds

...and to think I voted for Alan Minter instead of George LaBlanche. For shame.

In hindsight, I should have voted for both of them.

UTBA-II Week 9 Restart

UTBA-II Week 9 Restart...

Unless Scot (SAL) make an appearance today, I plan on restarting the Week 9 matches starting tonight. I still have a bit of work on my stats sheets to remove the Week 9 data from the matches that had run already.

Keep in mind that this will probably not run as smoothly as when Scot handles things and it may take more than 1 calendar week to complete, post and compile stats for all rerun matches.

Also, I can't remember how to post links within an individual thread, so just bear with me for a while.

If there are any objections, please let me know...
