Could not load scouting database

Version: 9.1.6
PC/MAC: PC
What were you doing? I was trying to continue/load a saved game
What happened?When I continue/load the game the following error comes up: Database:: load_database - could not load scouting file

I can load other saved games but not this one, of course its a problem because I didn't realize I could make backup files

Did your computer crash or was it shut off during the saving process?

I thought the saving process was finished, I quit the game when the game closed and then turned off my computer. Am I screwed?

Yeah, quite possibly. Try moving the scouting.dat file out of your .lg folder and loading the league.

I just had a similar thing; I went to save it right before the playoffs started in my 6th of 7th year, it crashed, now the league appears to be unloadable.

I never did make backups, so is this it? Man, I hope not, I feel like I've played 10 hours a day for a solid month and can't even fathom starting over. Even going back to the beginning of the year would be fine...

Mine actually says "can't load world file", if that makes a difference.

I made a copy of my file and took out the scouting file and the next 15 other files it couldn't load. I guess its a valuable lesson to make backups.

If it helps, I saved the game right after winning the world series and getting my 100 rating.

Yeah, sorry guys, but interruptions in the saving process will destroy any save from any game that I've ever played. Without a backup, there isn't much that we can do.
