Minor issue #4
From my Not quiting thread on the main board, I'm putting the small issues here in separate threads just in case the developers wish to address them. Other than the names issue which I'm still working on (and perhaps the backup issue which I can't replicate), none of these issues are critical. Log them or ignore them--your choice.
![]() All issues appeared with v9.1.6 on an iMac. Logo and Opening Window 5. The logo and background photo did not match the new resolution. (Window Size: "1024 x 768" to "1680 x 1050" (matching my iMac's 20" widescreen resolution)) |

Well, I would, but I don't know how to get a screen shot that meets the 100KB requirement. Care to walk me through it? If I use Grab, it's a 980KB TIFF file. Compressing it creates a zip file at 960KB. Opening the TIFF file with GIMP and saving it as a JPG brings it to 192KB. Compressing that yields 156KB.

Paint tends to yield smaller files: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...creenshot.html

Thanks, Nutlaw, but Paint is a Windows-based program but I'm not running Windows, I'm running OS X (Leopard).
Perhaps I can find another alternative. Saving as a bitmap, perhaps. I'll try. And, yes, I followed battist's approach but got files that were way too big to post. That's the issue I'm having. |

Sorry, Mac screenshots are well outside of my limited area of expertise.

Try cropping the image using gimp just to show the parts of the screen that are needed. This will make the image smaller. Save it as a JPG with the highest compression.
You could even crop the image into 3 or 4 different screenshots.
