Postseason questions
I have some questions about the postseason.
I am using the real-life playoff format, with the 3 division champions plus 1 wild card team and the best of 5, 7, 7. 1) Does the game use the real life rule that the #1 seed can't play the wild card team if they are from the same division? 2) Does the game use the 2-2-1 home-road format in the Division Series and 2-3-2 in the LCS and World Series? 3) Will the game allow a wild card team to have home field over a division champion in the LCS if the wild card team had the better record? 4) If 2 teams tie for the division title, but will both qualify for the postseason, does the game award the division title to the team that won the season series or do they play a 163rd game? 5) How is home field determined for the World Series? 6) Right now, in my 2008 play along with the real calendar season, my AL West is facing a similar situation as the real NL West. There is a chance that the division champion could be below .500. Meanwhile, the Rays are comfortably ahead in the wild card spot and will almost certainly have the 2nd best record in the AL. I just want to make sure that the wild card will always be seeded #4, regardless of record. |

1. yes, if possible
2. I think it does, you can go into the advance playoff options and set it that way. 3. not sure, never seen it like that. 4. they play the 163 game to see who is where. 5. I think their is an option (or was in 6.5) otherwise it's best record. 6. I'm pretty sure they will unless you used the costom playoff option.
