Recalled Versus Purchased the Contract

It's the start of spring training.

I expanded my active roster to 40 by using the drag and drop method from the Transaction Screen.

I then used the All Transactions (under reports) tab to view the result of my action. I noted that the term "Recalled..." was used for literally every other team in the league when viewing their individual calls-up. But the terminology used for each of mine was "purchased the contract of...".

Did I do the roster expansion incorrectly or is it just a matter of semantics? If there is a problem in the way I expanded my roster, after I drag and drop each secondary roster player to his minor league level team, what is the methodology I need to use that would result in them being "Recalled"?

Thanks in advance for your time in replying.

Recalled usually means the guy already has a big league contract. Purchased the contract of usually means the guy was on a minor league deal. Of course, this then means his big league service time starts ticking.

I'm not sure if OOTP is just being weird with the semantics or if it actually uses the terms correctly.

Thanks Kelric.

I just checked every player in my organization. All players added to my active roster have major league contracts. All remaining players in my minor league levels have minor league contracts.

I'm going to just play on. If I find out at some point in the season that I did something incorrectly, I'll just chalk it up to being a rookie GM - I'm playing as "can't be fired" for the first three seasons anyway.

Thanks for your time.

Which makes absolutely perfect sense.
