9.1.6 CTD "Could Not Load Faces File"

I just finsished my first (MLB) season without problems. It was just after the Gold Glove winners were announced that I tried to exit and save the game but it CTD. I tried to load the same game but got this message:

I uploaded all my .dat files (file named "Steady Teddy") to the FTP server, assuming I did that correctly. I am running XP.

This is a known bug that has an easy work a around. Go to your saved game folder in your OOTP9 folder. Click on your League and you will see the faces.dat file. Delete the faces.dat file then reload your league and it will make a new file. I hope this helps.

FWIW

I also had a crash to desktop tonight. When I tried to reload I had the error noted above. I tried your work around and it worked for me. I hope it did so for Teddy.

Nutlaw I can assure you now that the faces.Dat files always happens when the month is changing. At first I thought it was just at the end of the season. But after some extensive playing this weekend I feel that it can happen at anytime of the year but always as the month is changing. Maybe if others start noticing the date we can get something done as this is a carry over from last year...Thanks
