HELP with pitcher!

My selected pitcher gets kicked out of the line up for some reason...

I have strict order selected, he is not injured, 100% fit etc... but after i quick play the game a different pitcher has played the game.

Am i missing something? Or could it be a bug?

You covered the usual answer to this question - strict order vs. highest rested starter. Maybe . . . do you or your AI manager have control over Lineups/Depth/Pitching Staff in Manager Options, Team Control Settings?

Yes all settings are correct... It happens only to one particular pitcher: Curt Schilling. When he came of the DL he played one game, and after that i kept him in the rotation, but now he gets overlooked everytime he is the pitcher to start... as a result all my other pitchers are tired because im on a 4 man rotation.

If you're using the unpatched MLB quickstart, Schilling may be still listed as Retired in his settings. Maybe even if you are using the updated version...

Anyways...

Go into Commish mode, then find Schilling. Go to his profile page and you'll see the Editor tab towards the top right. Somewhere on the left side of the screen under Basic or Team Information, there may be something saying he is retired. If there isn't, just reset his team information and whatnot, see if that helps.

Edit - Francisco Liriano, for example, had the same problem in MLB roster file.

Well, thank Kelric anyway - I was way off. I don't play that MLB Quickstart game.

If it's the rosters that came with the game, some versions had the retirement issue popping up. If you're using a 3rd party file, then that shouldn't have been the problem.

Yeah it is the roster that came with the game. But since i'm fairly new to this game i think i did something wrong myself. It works now, Curt Schilling doing again what he's good at... (7-5, 3.83 ERA)
