Newbie Question on Feeder Leagues

I've been playing to game for about a month and after reading these boards for a couple weeks I've learned a lot about feeder leagues (number of teams needed for X amount of rounds for X amount of teams for example). I've also seen many templates for these feeder leagues, but most seem to include the 2008 MLB teams as well.

I'm about 3 months into my season ("Historical", starting in 2008) with full minor leagues. I was wondering if it is possible to add in feeder leagues mid-season (or in the off-season), or if I would have had to do that when I started the game?

If something has already been posted on this, I would be more than thrilled to read up on it :-)

I would avoid adding any feeder leagues during the season. You can certainly add them in the offseason. Just amke sure to fill the league with fictional players after creating the league/structure/teams that you want.

Okay, Thanks!

So I could create the league(s) in the offseason, then tell the game to populate the draft with the feeder league(s) instead of creating the draftees from scratch?

Should be able to do it in the preseason.

Just be aware that you'll probably have to Edit the League Structure and teams using the "Edit League Structure" function, since the game will probably create the same league structure as your ML for the feeder (i.e. 2 leagues, 3 divisions, 30 teams).

Can I import leagues from a template during the post-season? or is that a "one time only" during creation affair?

I think it's pretty important that you use the Add Minor League button instead in order to make sure the feeder league is properly associated with the major league. League Setup, Functions, major league in focus, Add Minor League.
