minor league mangager ....promotions

Hey guys.
I tried searching, but couldn't come up with an answer, so I have a couple of questions I'd like to ask you guys.

I want to start off as the AA manager for a ballclub. I will leave the commisioner mode unchecked and be able to be fired....and leave the GM duties to the computer.
I would like to know...

1. Is there a chance that I will get a promotion or offer to manage AAA either with my current club or another ballclub?

2. Is there also a chance I might even get offered a chance to move up again to manage the MLB club or get offered the job with another MLB club?

3. Does the game offer you the GM spot somewhere?

I'd really like to work my way up the food chain if it's possible...or should I just go ahead and take the reigns of the MLB club?

That answers most of your questions.

The game does not currently distinguish between the major league manager and GM job. You could get offered the major league GM job.

To be frank, the minor league to major league manager career progression isn't a terribly complicated model. It's pretty difficult, in fact, to get promoted (which is fairly realistic), and there are lots of struggles with who the GM puts on your team. I personally enjoy it, but I didn't want to give you the impression that it's a particularly detailed model.

Ugh....I can't believe I missed that. I only read the manual about 4 times(I guess I have selective reading)

Actually, that sounds perfect for me.
I was hoping to kick around the minor leagues....."scout" out the league throughout some seasons of play in the hopes of getting promoted/hired into the MLB spot eventually. I would then take over the GM duties and go from there.

It does work, mind you. I've done it before and enjoyed it, but let's face it, a lot more polish has gone into the more "mainstream" way of playing - being the major league GM from the start.
