New League - Generated Players Pot Ratings = Actual
Hello
I have the latest version of ootp. I created a fictional league based on MLB with fake players. I have the scouting model off. In the new league I just created every player's potential ratings are basically equal to the actual ratings. This is true throughout the minor leagues. When I say "basically equal" I mean some players differ in a rating by 1 or 2 points. That seems odd doesn't it? I'm using a 100 point scale. --LATER-- For giggles I simulated a year to see if anything would change. It didn't. Actual and Potential ratings are still basically equal. Which seems to kind of defeat the purpose of minor leagues. Am I missing something? Player Development is on. Last edited by swensobp; 07-17-2008 at 06:01 PM. Reason: Update |

Anyone else see this? I'm not trying to split the atom or anything too complicated. I would imagine this is a pretty normal operation.

I would consider recreating the league. The results you are getting are unexpected and unusual. I play lots of fictional leagues and never seen anything like that. Did you change any settings in the league setup?

It's happened more than once and it has also happened to a friend of mine.
