Jump in the count when bunting
I have seen this a couple of times, including with the latest patch. I'm playing out a game and I request that the hitter sacrifice bunts. That very pitch the count jumps to 2-1, 2-0, or whatever and then he bunts it. I can understand that maybe he took a couple of pitches before laying the bunt but it would be nice to have the option to hit away after a couple of balls.
I seem to recall this happening during running plays but I can't remember if it was a run/hit, hit/run or straight steal. I didn't see this with 2007 or 2006, so I'm not sure if it was an intentional change. I apologize if this was already flagged. |

I believe you can switch to pitch by pitch mode and then back to the other option. This should allow you to do what you want. I don't play out games in pitch by pitch mode so excuse my ignorance if you cannot go back and forth within a game.

No, that sounds right. Georgehounddog, were you using one-pitch mode?

No, I usually sim a whole at-bat by pressing enter. The only time I don't is if I bunt or run. I'll check the settings next time I play. Thanks for the responses.

It was in one-pitch mode. It must have been the default setting in OOTP9 or I turned it on by accident. You can scrap this "problem". Thanks.
