I even laughed out loud watching it again this morning. It looks like a little league play.

Everything else was pretty routine for an outfield error, except the ending up laying on top of the ball and feeling for it under his butt. That's what made it priceless.

Yet another example of why Manny Ramirez is easily one of the most entertaining players in baseball. Love him or hate him, he's awfully fun to watch - in the field or at the plate.

Francona's face was priceless after that play by the way.

Honestly, that might be one of the worst defensive plays in baseball history.

Wasn't it two weeks ago that Manny pulled off one of the most amazing plays you'll ever see from a left-fielder, taking away a home run AND doubling off the runner?

Say what you will about his ego and personality, Manny knows he's in the entertainment business. And he entertains.

I don't think that was real.

Yeah, because I'm sure "entertaining the crowd" what he was going for on that play.

So does this count as another reason to justify saying Manny Ramirez is better than Ken Griffey Jr?

Probably right now. But Griffey was better in his prime -- which was about ten years ago. In his prime he was Mays-like. Then he went to the National League and started paying for his playing style with injury after injury.

It's ironic that Griffey essentially built Safeco Field but never played there as an M.
