Morale question
Is there any way to find out more information about why a player's "Role on the Team" says very unhappy. My player expects to be starting which he not only is, but is my cleanup hitter and has been all year. He has performed well above expectations and is one of the top hitters in the league (leads in RBI's). Overall, his morale is great but his role on the team is Very Unhappy and I can't figure out why.

Guess #1) he wants to be playing a different position.
Guess #2 (and the more likely, IMO)) there's a bug/issue with the game itself. |

I find similar issues with the morale of the players `performance'.
He could be performing up to the expectations of his ability, and his morale wil be poor or unhappy with his own performance. |

Stupid question coming up: Where do you see this info other than his smiley face? I can see his expected role, but I never saw anything like "Unhappy with role."

Edit: Hmmm. That was a stupid answer. If you are seeing Expected Role, you are seeing the details already. I think the guys above were just putting what they see there into their own words. Basically, a player can be unhappy with his Role on Team (frowny face) if his current position and usage does not match the Expected Role seen below the mood indicator. You should be able to ask questions to a player, almost like you are talking to them. Obviously it would have to be from a relatively small drop down type of list but in real life, if a player doesn't like something, he says it but in the game, we are left to guess. It would be similar to the "visit mound" where you are basically asking a pitcher how he feels and he responds with 3 or 4 stock answers but it does give you a bit more feel about how someone in the game is feeling. Some suggestions (they can't really be in a format that you would really ask a person but more to see additional information about something) 1) - How is your morale? 2) - How do you feel about your contract? There would be more questions like this but not too many as the information provided in game is usually sufficient. Q

Instead just asking how a player feels, maybe there could be a % of how much a player likes playing positions next to the position ratings in the player profile. Would add a little more reality and flavor to the game IMO. |
