In Game Subs

Dumb question, I couldn't figure it out for the life of me but how do you sub pitchers? I went to my teams sub screen and I couldn't get the guy from the bullpen into the game. I tried dragging his name over the current pitchers name but nothing happened.

Even if you run the team, you cannot make substitutions in a game if that privilege is delegated to your AI manager. You can check that by clicking Options while in the game and looking at your teams Controls. Make sure you are selected, not the manager.

Even so, something should have happened: You should have gotten a warning that "You are not allowed to control this team." If you did not see that, then my next guess is that you are neither in control of the team nor acting as the commissioner, allowing you to make changes regardless of who runs the team.

I'm using the Community rosters, last night I made certain to switch the team controls to Bud Selig. I still couldn't make substitutions.

Ok, then I'm not sure of the answer other than to advise you to go to the Mods/Rosters board to see if there are problems with the particular roster that you are using, or PM the creator(s) with your question.

What kindda cheeses me is that if you drag a name over and accidently drop it in the wrong spot, you are stuck. Can't undo any change like this. At least, as far as I can tell.

This happens periodically to me when I try to do a double switch and don't do it in the right order. I have to drag the new pitcher into the lineup in the spot I want him in the order. If I forget and just drag him to the pitcher's spot, I'm stuck and can no longer do the double switch.
