BZ 1606: Pitch-by-Pitch mode Not Working

I can switch between One-Pitch & Pitch-by-Pitch but the play result is always One-Pitch.

Is this while playing out a game, or watching a replay? Is it a regular season game? Are you managing one of the teams?

It is an exhibition game - not a replay, I was managing one of the teams.

Can you try a regular season game to see if you still see the same behavior on your install?

I can, but I'm playing out exhibition games right now to test my 32 ball flight settings. Preseason has not started yet. When I get to regular season I will let you know.

Funny, I get the opposite. I can't get to "one-pitch mode". It is stuck on "pitch-by-pitch". This is in my MLB fictional player league universe.

Yours was the problem that I had last year, and was supposed to be fixed for the current release. More work needs to be done.

Same with me. This was also bug 2981 in ootp8/2007. Any chance of a fix in the next patch?

One-pitch mode works for me, except that choosing "Take" always results in the batter taking exactly one pitch, as if it were pitch-by-pitch mode. (And of course, when pitching, the pickoff move and pitchout each take just one pitch.) I had assumed that was how it was designed...but perhaps it's not?

I'm fairly certain that is how the game is designed.

Now that I'm done with "Exhibition" Mode and have started playing Pre-Season games, I find that pitch-by-pitch is now working.

It looks like this is a problem associated with Exhibition games. Hope this helps.

did you use the schedule editor to set up the exhibition game or the ball menu at the top?

Can you determine whether or not the problem exists if you use the schedule editor to set up the exhibition game?

The exhibition module destroyed my entire league. I'll probably never use it again.

The developers are stating that this works properly for them. Can you guys play around with your settings to try to narrow this down?

This was claimed fixed for build 9.1.2, so if you continue to have further trouble with it, please post in Tech Support. Thanks.
