Ok .... I just started the first season and it is May 20th and there are still no jobs available anywhere... How long does this take?

Watch your mailbox; you should have been offered a low-level minor league manager job by now, usually when you first start the game (you may have missed some invitations). By the way, you will not be offered major league jobs with no experience or reputation. You will have to work your way up if you play in this manner. You could, as you implied in another thread, just become commissioner and seize one of those jobs, however.

Please, please, please don't play as a minor league manager. Just play in Commish mode and take a big league job.

I agree with Kelric on this, if anyone asks my opinion. It's rough to manage with your AI boss doing what will seem to be arbitrary things to your roster, sometimes daily. Plus, you are held to the same standard (Win or Else) as in the bigs but you cannot do anything to help your job security other than manage the field. As we see IRL that's often not enough, unfortunately, because the players play the game, not the manager.
