For those of you who know about goal line blitz should know that those guys who created that will be soon be making a baseball version of it. That could be an interesting game if it's done better than ITP.

Hopefully something good happens here but I have about 2% hope of it. I remember wiping my butt of the patch that came out for this game. I'm sure Markus remembers.

Checking out GLB now. Just made a K actually. It is interesting, though I do like the sinlge player aspect of ITP. Learning curve seems moderate. I can see there are not enough teams for all of the players. I think I am K #40 on the roster, lol. Will suck if I can't get in any games, but apparently the interest was far higher than they anticipated. They will add more teams in the future... Nice. Thanks for the tip mauboy

EDIT. It looks like I am actually 3rd on the depth chart. But still, how often does a 3rd string K get in?

Here is a referrel link that I think gets me flexpoints (in game currency) if you sign up and play for a couple days. No pressure to do it. Goal Line Blitz - Beta - American Football MMORPG

Here is the link to the site if you think I am shady for asking but still want to check it out :P Goal Line Blitz - American Football MMORPG.

I just noticed that i didn'i mention itp in my post. I guess that reflects my faith in an ITP2.

But I got in a game last night on Goal Line Blitz. BTW, you make the character and the games are simmed. You can't control your playing time, I am on a cpu controlled team, so I think they try to get everyone in. But I made my 1 FG attempt from 29 yds. Moved up to 2 string too . It is also in BETA so it is free. Seasons could take a while though. Currently, to play a season in GLB takes 40 days. They'll have to do something to speed up a baseball season, perhaps a series a day instead of one game.

If they make a similar baseball one, I will definetly play it. Don't know all the ins and outs, but is definetly promising.

Thanks again mauboy.

while it is in beta, and I think they plan to allow everyone to play for free, you can buy Flex points to either "boost" your player, get even more players, or buy a team (although there is a waiting list). They make a pretty penny just on those 3 options.

And check Off-topic, OOTP already has a team and a farm team, and a few of us also have teams.

Probably a patch or 2 for OOTP9,then work begins on TB3,so I'm sure you can do the math. Hopefully one day there will be a ITP 2.

We already know nothing is going to happen with this game. The reason we all keep checking this forum is because we have nothing else to do in life, and this just allows us to focus our energies into something that isn't going to get us divorced.

My math on this equates to 0 - 'zero'

Andreas works on TB and Markus works on ITP so if he really wanted to, TB3 wouldn't affect the work of ITP.

There will be no ITP updates in the near future, sorry. OOTP Online is the top priority now that OOTP 9 is released...

Amazing that after all this time you finally say that there won't be anything "in the near future."

I could on the other hand, look at it that you are saying something could happen one day. For some reason, in this case, I will probably go toward the glass half empty theory.

Anyhow, thanks for the response. I'm glad you took some time to notice our little conversation down here in ITP land, Markus.

Well, thanks for the word on ITP. It is a geat game, flaws and all. I am disappointed not to see it come close to reaching its potential. The "in the near future" was a bit much. Like bigfly, I'll go with 'glass empty'. I guess I 'don't have to go home, but I gotta get the hell outta here'.

So now that we know nothing will come to us down the ITP highway, in this OOTP Online, can I create just 1 player?

since itp is officially dead..... anyone know of another baseball rpg?

for football we have goalline blitz and for basketball we have courtrivals but what about baseball?

Oh and please do not mention ultimate baseball online or cal ripken, that can barely be considered a game.

Dont think there is anything like that available right now, seems that there is a calling for a good baseball RPG.

Does anyone still play this game? I remember buying it, playing it for 2 weeks straight and then never playing it again

I played it the other day. I don't play it too often because I has such an imagination that I can create myself in OOTP9 and basically have that instead of ITP.

I play it pretty regularly since it came out. After several months my routine became playing 2-4 seasons, then take a break for a couple months, then do another 2-4 seasons, etc... Now, though, I doubt I will play ITP again.
