BZ 1594: Game lockups after world series

I can't get the game to progress into the offseason or next year, it just freezes the day after the world series. I am running the most current patched version. The league is a historical league using the lahmna DB and real players. I have tried over a dozen times to move past this point (OCT 11) but each time the game appears to freeze or lock up with it in the simulating message. I have let the game run for a slong as an hour and it still does not progress. My system is a PC windows XP pro with 2GB ram. I have the game set not to use fictional player photos and not to copy images or boxscores/game logs into the almanac but still this happens?

Try one more time and let it run for several minutes. There are a number of calculations running immediately after the season ends. Same thing can happen on Jan. 1 if you are using the almanac. Let us know if you still have the problem.

I actually have let it run for up to 40 minutes and nothing. In the windows task manager program it shows OOTP twice? and as not responding each time. I also tried to reinstall after a complete uninstall. I will just restart this career but wanted to let it be known this appears to be an issue.

This issue has been claimed fixed for the upcoming patch. If after installing it you still experience this problem, please post a link to this thread in Tech Support along with an explanation of what happened so that we can re-open the report. Thanks!
