BZ 1613: crash on mac

After successfully simming a season (historical league / no facegen), the program crashed during it's save-upon-exit.

I can start the program and even load the game I was playing (from a previously saved point), but when I play a day, the program crashes again. My saved game is in the middle of february, so there isn't anything major going on then!

I am running on an older mac (g4/500mhz w/640mb ram) running OS10.4.11, yet never had problems with ootp8...

I can post the error msg that the os spits out if that would help.

How many leagues and teams do you have included in this league? How many years of history data imported?

I simmed successfully 1923, the crash occurs prior to the 1924 season. The league was setup with just the majors, no minors or anything else, and no history imported upon creation.

The same problem has happened after a couple of seasons with a fictional league that I imported from OOTP8. That league had minors and facegen, so I figured I'd run a simpler game on my old rig, the 1923-historical mentioned above.
