Opponents out of position?

I just downloaded the game and started a new solo league a couple days ago. I simmed through the first year of my league and am now in year 2. I've noticed that many of my AI opponents don't have complete rosters. For example, the Blue Jays had pitcher Dustin McGowan at catcher for 1 game of our series, then played him at SS in game 2, and then he pitched game 3. Obviously, this weakens the other team and I've seen it with a couple other teams I've played too. Is there any way to correct this so the AI will manage the teams more efficiently and fill out their rosters with a correct amount of positional players and pitchers?

Make sure the AI is allowed to make changes to the roster.
