Exclamation Updated ML Rosters Available!

Unfortunately there were some bad settings in the roster set that was released with the first patch. We have fixed these and the new ML quickstart is now available. To install, you have two choices:

Through the Add-Ons Center
1) Open OOTP, then continue the current game
2) Go to the Game menu, and select "Add-Ons Center"
3) Click "Reload Add-Ons List"
4) A new one called "Updated major league roster set" appears, click on "Download", and after the download on "Install"

Manually
1) Download the following zip file: www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/rosters/majors.zip
2) Unzip the file to the major league quickstart folder, for example "My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 9\quickstart_games\Majors.quick"

That's it, now when you start a new 2008 ML game the new rosters are being used.

Enjoy!
Markus

Question for MH: Will this revised quickstart be included in the next patch?

You know what you really need to fix? Russell Branyan.

Even if he was 100% healthy, he's never been that good.

If you feel you can rate him more accurately, go for it. Then save your league as a quickstart. Then you will always have it "right" when you want to play...

Sure, but his rating is terribly off in the default game. It's something that should be fixed -- I shouldn't be the only one without SuperBranyan in my league.

The "Branyan Code" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Would it be possible to have the file size listed in Add-On Center? I'd love to have an idea of how long something will take to download before I start the download. Thanks for the updated rosters, by the way.

I never play with real rosters, but I use a MLB quickstart and delete all real players, then fill the teams with fictional players and give them fictional contracts.

I tried that with this file and I noticed that every single player on every roster has an unknown popularity for both local and national. I didn't see this happening before installing this file. I assume nothing can be done about this since it's intended for real rosters?

That's a good idea. We will probably be adding a % download meter or something like that in the next patch too...

If it need changes it is not Branyan ;-)

but some triple A clubs.
Durham Bulls
Richmond
Salt Lake City Bees
Albuq Isotopes

are all having a very thin roster less then 10 playes with low as 3 in the Bees.

Howcome ??? Should more of the AAA players been position correctly ?

What worries me is that the team.dat file before was 18mb, now it´s 6 mb. Hmm ???

I'm experiencing the same thing. What irritates me the most is that I had it fixed after applying the 9.0.27 patch but themn messed it up again after aplpying the Updated Major League Roster set add-on. See this thread==> http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...tle-light.html

Can we get this fixed ASAP?

DZ
